"The Calling" by Katholicus (Spiritual/Rock Artist from Maryland(MD))

The spiritual and talented Rock band Katholicus and their latest album, "The Calling," is Christian Rock music at its best. You will be amazed and inspired as this tight group of musicians, whose music is influenced by great Rock bands of the '80's, dish out generous helpings of faithful and uplifting religious songs to the genre of classic heavy metal. "There's A Home" features lead vocals that are strong and emotive, great harmonies on the chorus, bellowing guitars, and drums that are right in the pocket. "The Crusader/The Pilgrimage," an instrumental song, offers a mosaic of instruments which melds together a superb hypnotic melody. You will instantly embrace the fury of the razor sharp guitars with power chords and building beats while the piano and organ adds to the energy this song has to offer. "The Calling," is a highly impressive Christian Rock album this is not only innovating but calls out to all fans who love classic Rock music with inspirational messages of the Catholic faith.

"Facets" by Todd Beaney and John M. Dolan (Spiritual Artist from New York(NY))

"Facets" is the latest release from the talented duo Todd Beaney and John M. Dolan. It is a wonderful contemporary Christian album recorded mostly with the piano and the trumpet, and is filled with these instruments playing beautiful hymns in a variety of fashions. "Jesus Loves Me" is a toe-tapping number, with a solid jazz backbone and crisp trumpet playing that is amiable and upbeat. "When Morning Gilds the Skies" is a dulcet number in which we hear the piano reflectively talk and the trumpet alluringly croons. "Down at the Cross" is a song that has a little bit of Dixie-jazz feel to it and is infectiously upbeat. "Facets" is an album that is perfect for those who enjoy Christian hymns, but would like to hear a novel and creative approach to this. It also, on its own, is a great collection of jazzy, funky, and introspective examples of the combination of skillful trumpet and piano playing.

"Bondye Vivan" by Gina Demergeau-Lasseur (Spiritual Artist from The Caribbean)

Balancing native Haitian rhythms with folk-based songs reflecting her deep spiritual devotion, Gina Demergeau-Lasseur's debut CD, "Bondye Vivan," showcases a singer with that rare gift to make it all sound so effortless. A Miami-based Haitian-American, Demergeau-Lasseur's story is grounded in music, her Haitian heritage and her strong Christian beliefs, and her album reflects all these influences with remarkable skill. Singing primarily in French, Caribbean-flavored, up-tempo numbers like "Sa se lanmou" and "Rele Jezu" shimmer like the waters that lap the Haiti seashore, while on the moving and timeless title track, "Bondye vivan," the singer's reverence needs neither simile nor translation. A wonderful album full of Caribbean-soaked songs that are as engaging as they are meaningful, Gina Demergeau-Lasseur's "Bondye Vivan" CD is a treasure of transcendent World music.

"Alone But Not Alone" by Doug Munro (Spiritual Artist from New York(NY))

Doug Munro's debut solo album "Alone But Not Alone" is a wonderful collection of live instrumental studio recordings in which each song is inspired by spiritual passages from the Bible and other sources. In "Worship" we hear Munro's skills upon the acoustic guitar in a down tempo song that is calming and introspective. "The Journey" is a song in which a cool and interesting percussive lead is followed by both bluesy and funky guitar playing, in a fun-loving and celebratory musical number. The spiritual classic, "Amazing Grace," Munro incorporates some cool subtle psychedelic sounds in the background as he plays an emotive version of the song on his guitar. This is an album that might best be described as contemporary instrumental/inspirational music. It's heartfelt and you can hear how much the musician values his spirituality. If you enjoy calm and uplifting tunes or music that is intended with thoughtful reflective insight, then Doug Munro's "Alone But Not Alone" is well worth listening to.

"A Songwriter's Dream" by Terry Davis (Spiritual Artist from Ohio(OH))

Terry Davis does his best when he mixes contemporary gospel with Funk on his album "A Songwriter's Dream." This album stays positive and uplifting as Davis infuses contemporary gospel with soul, R&B, Jazz, and Funk. Many songs, like "Can't Forget The Blessings" and "Hold to His Hand (AKA Hold To God's Unchanging Hand)" features a full gospel choir, giving the whole album an accessible and encouraging feel. While Davis is flawless throughout the album, he shows his vocal prowess with the song "You Keep Giving Again" as his voice seeps gently into your soul with smooth and heartfelt tenderness. "A Songwriter's Dream" is a great contemporary album of spiritual gospel music and would be a wonderful addition to your inspirational music collection.
