"Great Day" contains 10 great big songs, with such a large variety of appealing sounds by The Melody Clouds. Each track stands on its own, as the entire CD production is fantastic. A powerfully performed rendition of the traditional hymn "The Saints" mixes this old standard with a modern-day groove and becomes a stand-out favorite. The quality of the soulful and soft vocal presentation by Ronald Scott captures our attention certainly on "I Know It Was The Blood", and the strong brass and keyboard production on "Lord You Brought Me" truly brings down the house. Overall, this album is filled with powerful tunes and inspirational lyrics. Fans of traditional gospel will enjoy this CD.
