Great care was taken in recording and mixing "Working My Way Up To You" to ensure the optimal spiritual experience while listening to this album, and it sounds top notch. "Jesus Reigns" kicks things off with a great variance in the arrangement and fantastic vocal layering. "Don't Mind the Rain" begins, oddly enough, with a rain track and evolves into a wonderful song with booming backing vocals and a certain southern rock quality. "Soul to Keep" wraps things up nicely with a beautiful piano progression, a little Mellotron, and another memorable vocal performance. With "Working My Way Up To You," Mike Koehl has delivered an album that should establish him as one of the greats in the non-secular music world.
